One of the most exciting opportunities that the Intercultural Education Alliance hopes to promote is helping to expand understanding and respect for people from all nations and cultures.  As we move forward into the 21st century we find that technology has created a world that is connected in many ways.  These connections have come with the possibilities and realities for confrontation.  It is our mission to promote unique opportunities for educators to help guide tomorrow's leaders and provide collaborative experiences that help positively impact our move towards a new dimension in society.  The IEA is not an agent for promoting particular agendas or political views, it is a support structure for allowing people to communicate and participate directly with people from other countries; with the hope that through these opportunities friendship and respect will unite and empower people.

We have created several cultural displays to share with participants at the IEA Summit.  We hope they will serve as an indication of the spirit of this event and the potentials for sharing culture between peoples of the world.   Each island serves as a visual testament to the richness of culture in our world.  Each island also serve as information portal to exciting information and educational materials that represent some of the internets best cultural resources.  Look for the 'Exploration Station' kiosks on each island to access these resources.
